Sunny Cup is a drift-oriented 3rd person racing game. It focuses on easy to approach controls and highly competitive mechanics.

Sunny Cups core is the driving assist that helps player to focus on turn ins, brakings and takeovers, instead of trying to keep the car on track.

Target platform is PC and later Nintendo Switch if possible.

My name is Jesse Kontoniemi, solo dev from Finland and I run a studio called Lunar Activities. I’m looking for funding and marketing support for Sunny Cup.

Story mode is about the player finding their way into the local car culture. It’s a mix of japanese and finnish approaches and how the surroundings create the enthusiasts. I have first-hand experience on the subject, so my focus is to show it as I’ve seen it happen. The challenges are handmade to feature opponents with different strengths and weak points that player needs to solve and overcome.

Game features in-depth tuning, that allows creating the car for your needs with different engines, performance parts and aesthetics, without being overly complicated. Players can trade parts and cars with each other, allowing the car culture to thrive inside the game.

The art style is Playstation-esque without going too far. It helps the game to have more distinctive features, easier to read and also much easier to make.
